New project: ISD + Sport NSW
ISD has partnered with Sport NSW on an exciting new project. ISD will be producing a series of video case studies that will document great examples of community sport clubs and programs that are successfully including people with disability.
We will be teaming up with the amazing Alfio Stuto and his team from BonJourno Media to produce these videos. ISD has previously worked with BonJourno Media to produce our Inclusion in Action Video series.
The videos will become an informative and educative resource for the sports community in NSW.
I am really looking forward to this project and hope to share the outcomes soon.
News: Surf Lifesaving Adaptive Surf Sport
ISD is pleased to share that for the first time Surf Lifesaving Australia (SLSA) will be offering Adaptive Surf Sport Events for people with a disability at the 2024 Aussie Championships on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Not only will the annual championships now include adaptive event SLSA has also committed to implementing key accessibility supports to ensure inclusion for competitors and spectators alike.
ISD has been supporting SLSA to develop this competition offering over the past 12 months, and look forward to seeing competitors in action.

Reminder: Inclusion Video Tips Project
Three months ago I invited the ISD Community to submit a video recording of their top inclusive sport tip. The aim was to help raise and amplify the voices of everyone in the ISD Community and share your collective wisdom. Last month I said I would keep this open for one more month to see if we have any submissions and we have had 2 submissions woot! But I think we can get more, so with that said I will keep it open for another month so you can submit your tips.
I want to amplify and share your collective wisdom so please consider getting involved!
All you need to do is share your top inclusion tip or piece of advice via a short video recording using our simple online tool (from your phone or laptop). I will take each recording and make it look awesome then share it on social media for the world to see. The goal is to create a bank of highly actionable and highly shareable inclusion tips for everyone in sport to access.
